What breed is the cat in the Iams advert? He's kind of grey with leopard spots on his flanks.

He is a beautiful cat - I think they are about 1,000 to buy. You'd have to have 2 of course!!!
thank you for taking my credit redheadisbac. i glad i was of help sarahf72. if you buy your cat mag there is a list of bengal breeders in the back they are an expensive breed but think of all the love you will get back will be worth every penny, good luck with twisting hubbies arm.
Hi Sarahf,

If you are going to look for a Bengal please go to some rescue centres in your area first. You may find one there rather than "ordering" one for 1k. It makes sense ethically and may be a lot cheaper. Good luck x
You don't have to pay 1000 for a bengal. Most reputible breeders sell for anywhere from 300-500 starting price. And for a comprehensive list of breeders, check out http://www.bengalkittenlist.co.uk.
The cat is a Rosetted Bengal - they also come in spotted and marbled. Great cats with fantastic personalities but often stolen. Be warned if you're considering one that you are not going to keep as a house cat.
BURMESE - You can get one from a breeder for around 370 but they are intense pets, very intelligent and human like, best if you get a friend for it so it wont be lonely when you are out. I have 3 cats one is the same as the one on the advert, a brown burmese, and I also have a tonkinese which looks very similar (half burmese half siamese).
They can live up to 24 years, and will be like havign a child, gorgeous cats and big personalities (can be very vocal too!)
You can rescue one from the burmese cat rescue but please don't get one unless it's for life and will be spoilt! :-)
You are not wrong about Burmese - we had a Burmese and a Siamese, both at 13 weeks old. Sadly we lost our Siamese 3 years ago - he had emphysema. Our Burmese was on his own for over a year until we moved house and made friends with the cat next door who is now a regular visitor. Our Burmese, although now 11 years old is still full of life, loves to play and will fetch just like a dog, loves to get up onto cupboard and door tops when he can, loves fuss and loves it even more when he demands it ! and is very, very vocal - he's gorgeous ! By the way he's a Blue. Two absolutely great breeds which I would highly recommend.
