Whoever thought of casting James Nesbitt in The Passion? I just could not help laughing and taking the mickey every time he spoke with that Irish accent. A great actor but terribly miscast.
i agree with you on this one. james nesbitt was fantastic in murphy's law, but his coleraine accent is very out of place in the THe Passion, would have been better if he had of changed it
I thought it was well cast all round. And Nesbitt played the part well. The idea that they all spoke with classic BBC accents in first century Galilee and Judea (never mind south east Italy - Pilate's believed origins) has always made me laugh.
The jumble of faces and voices helped make the drama believable.
