the T.V. over Fire Place

We are putting our t.v. above the fire place in the living room. We need a cable box in order to get all the good movie channels, but our fire place is on its own corner wall in our home and we are having a hard time figuring out where to place the box and still keep a clean look to the living room. So i quess my question is where do you put the cable box?

you could get an IR repeater for it, this is basicly just a tiny little IR receiver that you can sit on top of the TV to pick up the remote signal then you could hide the actuall box away totally out of sight in a cupboard or something like that.

Other than that afraid it's kinda impossible to make any suggestions as don't know what the rest of the layout is for the room
