Puzzled! Clare (Gemma Bissett)

I don't watch Eastenders at all but last night I happened to catch a few minutes of it and there was Clare from Hollyoaks acting just as horrible and bitchy as ever, looking just the same and still called Clare! Did I dream this, or have Eastenders linked up with Hollyoaks somewhere!

Nope, no dream! It does get slightly confusing...

Gemma Bissett was in Eastenders several years ago as a character called Claire Bates, but left when her character and her dad (Nigel Bates) moved away. She then appeared in Hollyoaks - coincidently with the same character name. Eastenders must have spotted her in Hollyoaks, and decided to write her back in - she has returned as Claire Bates, but they've turned her into a nasty piece of work......rather like she was in Hollyoaks!

Would be interesting though if characters wandered between soaps. Perhaps Blanche from Corrie could go and stay in Hollyoaks! That would put them all in their place.
