No Fault Claim
2 Answers
Another car collided into mine and the other party's insurers admitted liability. My insurers continued to deal with my claim, as repairs were already in hand, but I did not have to pay any excess and it has been recorded that the claim was not my fault, and that my No Claims Discount in still in place
My question is, when renewing my policy and asked about the claims history, do I need to disclose that I have had to make a claim, or not?

They will probably ask whether you've been involved in any accidents, rather than whether you've made a claim. If you don't disclose it you'll be stuffed if you need to make a claim in the future. They'll take into account the fact that it wasn't your fault, but you must disclose it.
