Getting a copy of an old tv show

Hi all

When i was a teenager, i was in the audience of this is your life, it was 1987, (i think), and it had Omar Sharif, as the main star.
Does anyone know how to get a copy of that particular show?

write to BBC but it could cost you hundreds

I think the problem will also be that the BBC don't own the format of "This Is Your Life", which may make it even more difficult to get a copy, presuming it is still in their archive in the first place.
They may have a VHS off air recording, but it may still cost a lot to get a copy from them.

It was 1989 and unless you can find somebody with a home recording, there is no chance of a copy.

Why don't you try the 'want it now' facility on eBay? There are also sometimes episodes of TIYL listed for sale on the site, though it's not permitted, but i've never seen Omar Sharif's show.
