subtitles on ITV3

is anyone else having trouble getting the subtitles on ITV3 ? We can get the subtitles on every other channel, just not ITV3. The Duty Officer was less than helpful (though pleasant) and suggested that my TV was at fault. I cannot see that it can be ,as I can get them on all the other channels. We watch with Freeview and get our signal from the Angus transmitter. We have 2 fairly new digital TVs and have the same problem with both of them. I have also got out an old, non-digital TV, hooked it up to a digi-box and again got subtitles everywhere except ITV3. I am sure that the Duty officer thinks I am a mad old bat because they are no longer answering my e-mails..... Anyone got the same problem ? or any advice as to how to solve it ? Thanks

Depends on the programme doesn't it. I just checked, and get them OK on morse.

Can't say I have any problems with any subtitles at all, except on ITV4 with the professionals, when they actually say something completely different to what the subtitle says!

As I say, we get them for every other channel, just not ITV3.
i think there must be a transmitter problem that they are not aware of.(And are not willing to listen to a mad old bat !)
Agree with you that they often don't bear much relation to what's being said .

We never seem to get subtitles for programmes on ITV 3 either. I just presumed that they don't have them.

Are you served by the Angus transmitter, by any chance ?

Apparently something like 95% of ITV3's programmes are supposed to be subtitled......

Haven't got a clue what transmitter I'm on for Freeview, but some months ago lost the use of the RED button (although it works if I put in the page number manually) and the Freeview teletext ceased at the same time. Have to switch off Freeview and go to terrestrial TV for the teletext. Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question but goes to show that others are having problems as well.

I'm really disappointed with the Duty Officer at ITV3. I think they could have been a bit more helpful.
