Rediscovering a forgotten pleasure
A few days ago I rediscovered the long-lost pleasure of listening to a play on BBC radio.
In my mind's eye I could see the plot and characters developing, and suddenly I was lost in a world I'd almost forgotten existed.
That is until I noticed the shoddy sets, the doors that wouldn't open and the scenery that swayed like a field of barley.
Considering the price of the licence fee I would've thought more resources could've been provided regarding set design and construction.
I've since written to the BBC expressing these views adding that one's imagination needs more help than that which has been so far available.
