Nostalgia

Nice and easy one to wind down after a hard week. This morning I was putting on a load of washing and opened a new bottle of fabric conditioner (Lenor lavender and camomile as it happens) and was transported back to my childhood. It smelt exactly the same as the floor polish my mammy used when I was a little one. No carpets then just lino. Then I started thinking of all the smells I used to love like freshly mown grass, mint when you pinched it between your fingers, Johnson's baby talc (in the tin) etc; etc; What smells take you back in time ?

I like ambre solaire suntan lotion. It's the only one you could buy when I was a child. reminds me of summer holidays.

The smell of the cricket ball!!

When I was little, my dad used to played for a sunday cricket club and every sunday we went to cricket. I cqn always remember the smell of that cricket ball.
Happy days they were!!!

Speaking of sun tan lotion sally there's on which has a really coconutty smell but I can't remember the name

I kept an old bottle of perfume that I got at my 10th birthday party it was one of those cheap ones that comes in a pouch but reminds me of youth club
