Who loves watching X Factor auditions?

Who else loves watching the auditions for X factor?
I can guarantee, even if I'm feeling a bit low, those terrible auditions will have me in hysterics everytime. I only ever watch the auditions, not really interested to know which of the talented ones get through to final stages.
Wasn't that supply teacher this evening odd. He started off quite well, but that continuation of his high note was just bizarre.

I discovered earlier this year that the auditionee's are to sign before another panel before they are allowed to sing infront of Simon et al. I understand that a lot of the bad singers are allowed to the 'real' panel and the camera's purely for viewer entertainment.
When I heard this, I couldn't help but think of the girl last year, who had a dress made for her by her father (remember her parents argused black and blue with Simon that their girl is an excellent singer, when she was actually awful?). The producers should be ashamed of themselves, that young girl was genuinely upset by the whole thing.
They should be able to pick out more carefully those auditionee's who can handle the rejection and help make it the entertainment it is.

I love it too, I only watch the serious bit towards the end of the series if there are one or two people on there that I like.
I read somewhere that the girl with the ridiculous dress that her dad made has been trying to get through again and has had a couple of "pre-auditions". These auditionees know what they are letting themselves in for, so I think the producers know what they are doing.
Wasn't that guy Alan who had foster parents great (and fantastic eye candy!)

I only enjoy the disastrous ones too. I suppose it's car crash TV in a way, but these people really do set themselves up for a fall. Letting no-hopers through for viewer entertainment, like some Victorian freak show, is a bit cruel though, isn't it? It only adds to their already deluded opinions of their...erm..."talents". I don't think I'm a good singer - better than some of the ones they have on there though - but I know my limits and I know that I wouldn't have a hope in heck of winning, so I don't set myself up for a fall by trying.
What was with that holiday camp singer with a mouth like Wookey Hole? She honestly thought she was good. She might be better if she could rein that gob in when singing (both songs and her own praises), but she was trying way too hard - a lack of confidence in her natural style, perhaps.
As for Alan (I'm a bloke so can see past the "eye candy" stuff), he spent half an hour giving them his sob story, then had the nerve to say "I don't want you to feel sorry for me". Er, clearly you do, sunshine, otherwise you wouldn't have bleated on about it for so long.

I completely agree Velvetee - what I understood was that people actually have to get through two auditions before they get to sing in front of Simon.
So presumably people think they must have a chance, and then they get ridiculed by Simon and co, saying things like:
'who told you you are good, you're rubbish' when their production team made them think they are good by letting them through.
Yes I know they should know they're a load of cr*p, but some people are just a bit deluded, or a bit handicapped like someone says so how would they know? I think it's horrible and I don't know how they get away with it..
Still like watching the auditions though!
