I'm with LoftyLottie again on this.

Crying is good for you, and I appal the 'big boys don't cry ...' message that is still put out by some parents but ...

there is a time and a place. Being asked on national TV if you want to win a talent show is not a just cause for blubbing like a bride's mother, for either gender. The habit of mass 'emotion' seems to have started when Diana died, and now just got out of all proportion.

Maybe Kleenex could sponsor the next series, and then, instead of watching people prdding their eyes with their fingers, or wiping their noses on the host's tee-shirt, they could do the decent thing, and

USE A BLANKING TISSUE!!!!!!!!!
Oh Andy, I have just resisted putting an answer on the OJ Simpson thread in case I am accused of always agreeing with you! The fact is, we do nearly always agree on everything (except for what you said about animals and the differences between country and town people ;o) ) That was the exception that proved the rule!!

Surry puddicat I have strayed from the thread.
What I find most alarming is the number people who are staking their whole life on a 1 in 182,000 chance of winning the X factor.

Nothing wrong in with crying but come on. That Austin has cried at the audition, cried twice at boot camp, cried at Simons they really want to get a grip.

Plus the standard this year is appalling, that pool cleaner is shocking but again it's the sob story.

Don't get the spanish bird and singing in spanish at all.

yeah the crying was all a bit much , i think you have to sign a contract to say you can bawl at the drop of a hat otherwise they dont let you on the show.

i agree about the spanish woman btw im bored of that already and her BIG hair is driving me to distraction
Sorry to hijack your thread puddicat -

I agree LoftyLottie we do agree a lot - and I see no problem with that at all.

By the same token, my views are often diametrically opposed to Ward-Minter and Anotheroldgit - but we debate quite happily and fight our corners.

Raggy and I had a spot of handbags when I wound him up out of mischief, but we have climbed over it now.

Actually, we have disagreed on the relationship question, the lady and her ex / current partner, so even we see things differently sometimes.

Well, being right all day every day is an effort isn't it?
bunch of cry babies (esp Austin and Adam)!! except that guy who sung 'you'll never walk alone' in the audition and worked as a bluecoat!! Hes full of confident. dont think ive seen him crying like a baby!!
