Sandy isnt a looker, but very intelligent and very dry and wiity!!!

..and also can she act? She is certainly a very watchable presenter and panellist, but I can't remember ever seeing her in an acting role. Or am I just missing something?

John Sim from Life on Mars (and also previously on Dr Who) would be brilliant - or maybe (thinking about it) Philip Glenister as a tough 1970's sort of Dr Who... haha.
