Did anyone else think that last night's comedy awards was anything but funny?

Who were those 'celebrities' they wheeled out to read out the names of the winners?

How come some of the winning comedy shows, where on abscure TV channels?

What was funny about an over-sized female shouting out four letter words to the guests and people all dressed up in their finery throwing pieces of food and bottles at some of the winners?

It seems apparent that in this case that 'clothes doesn't make the man' (or even woman for that matter)

my rule of thumb is to see if Angus Deayton is involved. If he is I don't watch.I heard him described recently as a master of dry.I would have said drought.
I turned it off.
Great minds marwel - I just knew it was going to be rubbish as soon as Angus Deayton opened his mouth, so I switched over.

We didn't miss much then....
I watched it for a while.. Angus Deayton.. can't stand the man!
Where was the comedy! Worst award show ever! I kept watching thinking I was going to be enterained what a waste of time!!! All the real comedy stars are gone, who in their right mind thinks Alan Carr is funny, never heard of some of the other shows, sad reflecton on todays entertainment!
I am obviously not in my right mind Mrs T. Alan Carr makes me giggle!
Never mind, Jonathan will be back next year ;o) (I miss him on Friday nights too).
Mrs T, I so agree! (That rhymes)!

I too can't stand the likes of Alan Carr, Harry Hil, & oh, I could be here all night....!
As for Jonathan Ross LL, I can't even stand to see his face in the paper, let alone hear his voice!

No offence though, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same! ;o}
Love Harry Hill. The man is brilliant.

Obnoxious Russell Brand - celebrity?

Havin' a laugh eh!!!

Angus Deyton was chosen because they did not want to host to outshine the 'celebrities'.
For those who didn't watch - this is what you missed.

Standing in as host, Angus Deayton opened with the line: "Normally it's the winners who can't be here tonight, but in this case it's the host", before commenting upon complaints from the "30,000 self-righteous ***** who never heard the programme in the first place".

Was there really any need for that?

The reason I can't stand Harry Hill, is because he narrates You've Been Framed & his voice really grates on my brain!

Mnd you, I only put it on if the grandgirls are here as they love it - but I g-r-a-d-u-a-l-l-y turn the sound down.....

Exactly A.Guest - as soon as I heard what he had to say about the waffling Jonathan Ross & his mate, I Immediately switched over.
Love TV Burp, very clever programme actually.
Ooooo no goodbygirl - I can't join in with his lingo, but I can roll up at all the funny mishaps, 'specially the animals!

But only if their safe mishaps of course!
