retro tv question - 80s late night tv

When I was a teenager in the 80s there were quite a few late night tv shows on the UK channels, mostly ITV and Channel 4, definitely on Friday nights. We were just talking about them but none of us here can remember the names of the shows except the James Whale Radio Show. There were a couple where the format was 'shows within shows', one of the 'sub-shows' being something like the Grand Poseur. Any idea what these shows were called, and are there websites?

the word was another tv show, and one that I also watched, but it's not quite what I was looking for.

Imagine a series of programmes - regular ones each week - on, say channel 4, but it was as if channel 4 had a different name for those few hours?

can't think of those but i will when i hear the name, but i do remember james whale, that was great, i remember some woman with massive boobs.

There used to be a really funny show on, after the pubs closed, called 'WHO DARES WINS'. Not sure if this is what you mean.

I don't think I'd explained too well, sorry...

Each Friday night, channel 4 (or itv, but I'm almost positive ch4) used to show a programme that contained other progs. It was as if it was another channel altogether - the name of the 'channel' being the name of the programme. It was between about 11pm and 2am - I used to miss the last hour because I turned over to see James Whale.

Itv had a late show called "Night Network"

I thought it may have been Night Network, but on checking I now doubt it. This is wrecking my head!
