Wendy Richard
Did anyone see the tribute program last night? My initial thought was that it was a little soon to show it the same day as Wendy's death - but having watched it I thought it was a lovely tribute to a great TV star ..........

They have (given Wendy's condition) had this programme "in the can" for some months now.
If left to the ordinary schedulers we might not see such a programme for months, and then possibley never!
Did you know that there is an Obituary deaprtment at the BBC.
It consists of staff who update the Obit programmes(such as Wendy's) all the time, with new facts, film etc.
So when someone famous(and usually old) dies they have a programme ready made to show.
Morbid isn't it!
I am old but they haven't asked ME for any home videos etc! LOL

You are all right, it was a lovely program - I did notice that the end credit mentioned that a lot fo the co star interview were from a 2001 program called "My Life on TV" so I know the just edited it together ..... didn't know about the Beeb's obit people Mr V ... it is a bit morbid but better than than never seeing such programs I agree.
