The opening credits used to scare the sh*t out of me when I was an 8 year old watching this. Anyone know the name of the girl dancing in the opening and closing credits ?

Don`t know but as soon as I saw the title to this thread it brought back memories of scaring the sh!t outta me when I was a kid
Her name was Karen, and she was an ordinary housewife from Berkshire. See below...

Star-studded and lavish Tales of the Unexpected may have been, but it also gave some "unknowns" a taste of fame. Best remembered of them was the dancer who performed for the opening title sequence dubbed by one newspaper as "the sexiest dance on television".

Karen Standley was a 27-year-old secretary and housewife from Berkshire, and took a day off to record the sequence.

"The moves were my very own," recalled Karen, who never danced professionally but got the job because her boyfriend at the time worked for Top of the Pops and was contracted to make the titles for Tales of the Unexpected.

Aotearoa - FLASHBACK!!!!! LOL
OMG Aotearoa I just watched your link - it frightened the poo poo out of me and I'm 52! Must say, I can't remember watching that one first time around - and that may also explain why I've been avidly watching TOTU for the past 12 months hoping to watch a programme I can only very vaguely recall. Perhaps it was on Armchair Thriller instead? I think the story takes place on a cruise and a woman takes a man back to her bedroom, they get in bed and when they realise they have left the light on she tells him not to get up and, instead, she reaches out her arm and it extends to approx 10 feet to the other side of the room. Go figure that one. Anyone got any ideas?
