Jade has died.
Its a sad day.
Personally on friday evening myself and pasta had a few farewell drinks and i introduced her to a friend of mine , here from the UK.
She is a few years older than Jade and was diagnosed a week earlier than her.
Shes a very clever and pretty woman.A freelance photographer whos travelled the world and is very friendly,bright and everything to live for.
She didnt undergo surgery like Jade but had other treatment.She got an update on her condition and was here to see her mother and let her know how she was doing.Good news for her , shes got 18 months.
Yes I was taken aback but she is so resilient and everyone else around her is shattered at the news.One thing she said t me was that she was coping so well because she didnt have children and she didnt know how Jade had managed , perhaps the fact she could provide for their future was giving her strength.

So a mothers day Jades sons will never forget , another chapter in her story completed.

How you look back on this and her will vary greatly from person to person.
Myself i find it very sad and hope that shes at peace wherever she may be.

its very sad news,jades illness effected me i think because she was the same age as me it struck home more.her poor little boys. at least she is niot in pain anymore.

I read it legend. Times like this, there is nothing anyone can say to you that will help or make you feel better. Apart from I'm sorry about your friend. But that's rather hollow, isn't it?

I agree with leggy...if he had not told me,I would never have suspected this lovely young woman was terminally ill. You could tell immediatly that she is one of those people for whom the glass is always half full-not empty....positive and vibrant and so full of life.
Jade Goody made the most of the time she had left....her top priority was her sons. It is just a shame that Mother's Day will always be tinged with a sadness that only they will know.

RIP Jade and my heart goes out to anyone in a similar situation.

On another note, I went for a smear test last Tuesday and the nurse said that increase in smear tests had gone dramatically in the last few months. Thats saying something.
