Help with "chase" slapstick type music or overture

My son has this tune in his ear he wants to know the title of. I have heard it, its associated with chases I would say, and he thinks he remembers it being played at a pantomine when there was some slapstick action and strobe lighting. Its similar to, but not Flight of the bumble bee, or Dick Bartons "The devils Gallop". But if it helps it goes
" d d d d d d d d. d d d d d d d d. dd dd dd dd der. dwrrrrrrrr. dwrrrrrrr" It has repeated notes at the start, then they descend and sound a bit wrrrrh wrrrh (like motor racing) in some parts. We've googled all kinds of inroads, but none we've heard is it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Thanks, he says it isn't that, but I've said it could be part of the overture, (we haven't listened all the way through) It is similar to it, he says its not part one, fingers crossed for Rossini (It isn't the lone ranger theme either) really appreciate your help.

Hes whistling it which makes it more familiar than my d d ds I'm afraid, we think its definately the Wrrrh Wrrrrh bits that distinguish it from bumble bee & Devils gallop & william tell, but its definately close to them. Come on Elvis

I thought it might be something like Keystone Cops, but when I was trying to find it, I got lead somewhere else and I think it may possibly the Sabre Dance you are looking for, the more I hear it the more it sounds like your description.
