laptop help

Hi, my laptop used to play dvds but for somereason wont anymore, also, if i get a wmv in an email that dont work now either, help plz. im not very pc literate so in laymans terms plz. x

this is a shot in the dark because i dont know exactly what is wrong when i have had trouble playing video files it's nearly always a codec problem. Try downloading K lite codec pack from filehippo.com

Download VLC for Windows, and install it.

This one program can play DVDs, music and videos, without issue.
