She reminded me of someone from Corrie and I was thinking of Lucy, the mother of Peter's son Simon. It looks like we are right with the Corrie connection tho:

During next week's first two episodes - both written by the über-talented Emilia Di Girolamo - Trina's (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) decaying body is found in the summerhouse by her son Jordan (Michael-Joel David Stuart) and his friend Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) who are down at the allotments tending to their saplings.
Not long after their gruesome discovery, the police are knocking on the Fox family door and the lead investigator DC Deanne Cunningham is played by none other than Zoe Henry!
Zoe played the role of mentally unstable arsonist Casey 'K.C.' Carswell in Coronation Street and is married to Emmerdale's Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley.
