What did you think of his performance? In my opinion: some people don't know when to retire - hope you were paying attention, Brucie.

I really rather wished I hadn't.
He is 81 (5 years younger than me),but his voice has not stayed with him.
I found it rather heartbreaking.
Of course nobody will be the first person to tell him so,maybe he should be allowed to stay ignorant and die happy.

I didn;t watch it for this very reason, i met him in manchester back in about 1974/75, at the old Belle Vue theatre, we saw him twice actually, he was amazing, Very relaxed of course, he sang 'In the Summertime' which was one of my faves. He was charming, very tanned, and gorgeous. I;ll always have that image in my head lol
We turned the sound down after the first thirty seconds - what misguided twerp thought that would be a good entertainment segment on the show? How sad it was - that old guy, on a podium in his slippers, singing out of tune and looking like a wee tortoise. Can't help remembering him in the past and wishing he'd had better advisement from his agent for this gig!
