Father Ted - episode with peanut dream
5 Answers
I saw the opening few minutes of a Father Ted video on YouTube the other evening and now I am unable to identify it to see the remainder. It started with Ted in a bar saying he's not cut out to be a priest, then the camera turns round and it's the barmaid he's chatting up - she leans over and gives him a passionate kiss - then SHAKE, SHAKE!! it's Dougal shaking him awake to ask if he wants a peanut! Ted tries to go back to sleep to catch up on his dream, but this time, he's being chased by huge peanuts!
My question is - can anyone identify this episode from this description and tell me what the main theme of the episode was? I've tried using the search term 'Father Ted peanuts', but it hasn't come up with anything. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks to you both - my apologies, Chris - I thought the web page you had linked contained quotes from lots of different episodes - I didn't realise they were all from "A Christmassy Ted" - when I looked again, I saw that i was mistaken. Once again, very many thanks to both of you for your most helpful answers.
