Trying to recall a television series from my childhood. This would have been in the late sixties or early seventies. Can't say if it was American or British and the only clue I've got for you is that every episode started with the hero listenig to his new assignment on a cassette tape which always ended with the words "this tape will self-destruct within thirty seconds" - something along those lines. Driving me crazy!

googling reveals the Waterman's Arms run by Daniel Farson in the 1960s, if that's any help. Sounds more pub than club and I lived far away and straight so I wouldn't know.

Farson, that's the one, many thanks to you all, it was driving me mad! Have been to his pub/club and it was quite rude! All titties and no touching (not that I wanted to)! Don't ask, it's one of those times in my life when I really can't fathom what, wshere or why I was doing!!! I kept googling Daniel? and isle of dogs but nothing came up, well daniel davies and his books did! (No idea either!!)

I've just watched Victorian Pharmacy .Leeches and stuff made from worms ..yuk ...
Some of those potions looked a bit dodgy .Interesting though and that Ruth Goodman is very enthusiatic . I liked her in Victorian Farm .

Neti .. Mr S. has a bowel problem .It's too ,shall we say ,embarrassing to go into detail about on here .It's not a normal thing .He's very poorly ,lost a lot of weight .I'm very worried .
But ...I'm hoping once they have a look it will be OK ..in the meantime it's fingers crossed it's nothing serious.
The Chinese restaurant is still there ,well it was last time I was that way .Just over the lights at the top on the Epsom Road .
I've had a couple of large drinks so must away to bed .Take care people and sleep well xx

Evening buddies - yes you really are good friends, means a lot to me. What a heartwarming photo Shaney. Jeannie is bottom right, right? (You posted a photo when she visited you shortly before she passed away.)

Don't worry yourselves biddies I do have a washing machine, but nil energy during the heat of the day - and it was the window cleaning that was my actual goal, not the curtain washing. At least I didn't do it in the nude, like Neti;-)

Well done Mr S. He'll be okay in the end Shaney, you'll see. So will you Robi but if you don't see a doctor tomorrow I'll give our resident doctor your email address;-) Robi do you have a new home up your sleeve? (And if Robi doesn't get a chance to reply tomorrow, does anyone else?)

We haven't moved and the fox and the angel are still here too from where I sit - tut Lottie's son;-) I'm not planning on a palace revolution so could those of you who have suggestions still mail them to Robi to begin with, but if you haven't received a reply by tonight, feel free to email them to me for my opinion based on things Headmistress has taught me on previous occasions. This is just to relieve you of the added stress Robi if you are already handling doctors and nurses today.

I won't be at the computer early on tonight but should anybody ask my opinion by email I will reply late in the evening or in the middle of da night and we could start anew by tomorrow morning. As far as I know there isn't a ban or anything involved in passing 500, I believe that originally it had to do with your browser Neti not being able to handle huge threads. So let's stay here for the day, that's my suggestion, and I'll check my email tonight:) And if anyone has another kind of idea, do speak up biddies.

Daughter's new front teeth look brilliant 130€, with free whitening thrown in (2 sessions), she can actually laugh and smile with mouth open now. I am amazed what dentists can so these days.

Hope Mr s and DH are feeling Ok, shall I come and nurse them, people usually get better pdq when I turn up ala Hattie Jacques!!! No seriously it is a worry for you both.
