Trying to recall a television series from my childhood. This would have been in the late sixties or early seventies. Can't say if it was American or British and the only clue I've got for you is that every episode started with the hero listenig to his new assignment on a cassette tape which always ended with the words "this tape will self-destruct within thirty seconds" - something along those lines. Driving me crazy!

TIA (back tonight to say thanks to anyone who's been able to put me out of my misery, as it were:)

Yay for Nadal, and Yay for Capello!!!

Damn fone is geting the better of me. Daughter has the one I wanted and it's soooo much beter!
Mr N has to see another specialist about his inarticulate mouse in his knee, so it's back to the beginning again, he's getting fed up!
Oh tut...not another round of pumpkin butt & his pant pullin' antics :o( Well done Andy, it's no shame losing to him.

Heck Dolly I hope whatever's in the water doesn't flow as far as Perth! Actually all's taken care of in that dept so it should be quiet.... until the grandmonsters come of age. :o/

Oh ne'er mind Kit I've found you an emergency fix for bad hair days...how do you fancy the barbecued cumberland sausage look?

Errrr, Robi I thought you were referring to Mr N, you weren't were you?????
Don't tell Robinia but I really like Nadal and cheered when he won!! His butt looks quite good to me and he's a nice fellow. Sorry, I just can't take to Andy Murray, he's just so unappealing in every respect.

Dolly, I don't water my grass, just the veg and tubs. If I had to water my grass I would be out there 24 hours a day, we have a huge garden!! Anyway, I think it's ludicrous watering grass and wasteful of water. But I don't like to see it all dried up. It isn't a lawn exactly just three areas of probably what was originally field that has been mowed and it's full of clover and other things. Not exactly a beautiful lawn with stripes in it!!

Shaney, glad to hear Mr Shaney has an appointment at long last. I promise you an email this weekend.

Still waiting for a decision on this wretched land! Deadline is midnight and then it's a no go from us.

Have a nice weekend folks

xx
Does Mr N keep pulling his pants out of his pumpkin butt then neti? I'd like to see Berdych win, he deserves to take the place of the man he beat to get in the final.

It's gone very heavy here but no rain forecast so it looks like a watering job...and there's nothing of interest on the tele, Gardener's world isn't a patch on what it used to be (haha, sorry) so I'll attempt read or scribble on sudokus without nodding off.

We'll cross our fingers for Mr S on Tues shaney....keep calm (and cool) and carry on. :o)
I've just hosed out the back .The grass is just brown and dry .Needs cutting but it's a waste of time and will just burn more if it's cut .The park opposite is like a wasteland ,completely dry and crispy . It's cooled down a bit here now ,the sun has gone over the rooftops . I put some washing out earlier and it was bone dry in about half an hour :) At least there's a bit of a breeze got up now .
Got men in the front room watching the footie .Oranje boom boom boom :) They're betting now on a Holland Germany final .You have to laugh really .....

Shame for Murray but he doesn't really do much to endear himself to people .He always makes such poo faces.I'm not keen on pumpkin bum either :)
I rather like that Berdych too ,he's a nice looking lad.

Yes I'm pleased my chap is getting seen to . I am actually desperately worried .
I just want them to say it's nothing nasty and can be fixed .
Take care all and keep cool ,enjoy the rest of the evening xxxx

Thank you Robi, I'm loving it http://i47.tinypic.com/6yl4z9.jpg
Evening each. Well I'm happy with the tennis, well I was going to be wasn't I.Not being able to decide. Mind you Nadal did come up with some amazing shots. I think he will have to keep it up for the final cos Berdych is all fired up and ready for it.

Hope all goes well for Mr S Shaney. It's easy for me to say I know but try not to worry.

I was looking forward to a trip to Wooly, Dolly. Never mind you can't win em all!!

Have a good weekend. I think we should expect a drop of rain.
See yer later 'gater(s)

Have a good weekend all of you.
How anyone could take to that dour Scot is beyond me. He always has that horrible bumfluff on his jowls, his mother is almost as bad. No defo nothing appealing there! Rafa all the way cos he is so nice in real life.

We do not water anything here as fresh water is so precious. We think that if it can survive without water (like my tomatoes) then that's Ok. certainly couldn't and wouldn't waste water on grass and flowers. Man of the wells here are getting lwer than sea level so are becoming salty, all of Ibiza town is, and you can taste it on the cups and the clothes are hard.
I don't water the grass Neti ,just the pots and beds otherwise I wouldn't have .....

And it would all be dust .Well it would be at the moment :)
Lovely pictures Shaney and a nice collection of pots. Even though I have a large garden I still love me pots best and they need water. I can't bear to think of anything suffering from drought, but the grass has to!!
They're pretty shaney. I only spent a fiver on tub plants this yr, last yr I spent about £25, filled a 2 tier stand & some pots and almost all of them rotted in the persistent rain.
Ooh yes Lofty .I have to have a pot or two or three :) That's only one little corner :)
Just started to spit with rain here .I do hope it rains ..but ..none of that slushing down ,just a nice gentle rain. preferably all night .
I didn't spend much this year Robinia .One tray of petunias .One lobelia and one gerainymums .
I put some lobelia round the rosemary :) Did one hanging basket and a wall planter and shoved the rest in tubs.
oh I've so many pots it's ridiculous mostly shrubs that I've grown from cuttings, replacement stand-by's, things friends might like, and those that prefer acid/shady conditions. At least if I ever move I'll have some things to grab & take with me...it'll have to be one heck of a room in that twilight home, haha.
Do you know when we moved here from London I gave some of my potted stuff to my old mate Jeannie .
She could only take so many as we didn't have big gardens there just sort of courtyard type gardens but I left some things which were big tubs of ladys mantle ,geraniums ,and some other hardy things in pots like fuschias and a lovely camelia
I do wish I'd brought them with me as Anna ,who bought the house put them on the dump and paved the whole lot over !
Have you got those blasted June bugs up your way Lofty ?
I've just had to shut the back up. They're banging and buzzing around here like mad things .There was one in the bed the other night when I pulled the cover back :)
I know, it's heartbreaking shaney, I look at my garden & think that maybe one day someone will chop it all down. When the lovely old man in the bungalow over the bottom died the new people dug most of it out, including a huge conifer...they did leave one, although he had mentioned chopping that one too, & the woodpigeons nest in it every year. The empty house next door has a garden even bigger than mine & it's a blank canvas - all grass - I hope someone makes it nice.
It's like next to me .There's not a bit of green left .He's concreted everything over .The next thing to go will be the lawns at the front ,so he tells me .That's going to paved over .It's a concrete nightmare .No wonder his cat comes round mine to poop :))
