Why BBC did you make this rubbish? What a waste of money this was, the biggest let down ever. Did any one else see it what did they think?

I may try and watch it on iplayer, it clashed with Being Human on BBC3.
It was even worse than "Fools and Horses" which is saying something.
I enjoyed it.
I liked it. But go and watch Big Brother it'll suit your Taste more!!
They made it because people love OFAH, didn't see it because I hated OFAH.
Only Fools and Horses was, in my opinion, sensational.

Rock and Chips is a one off to test the water, so to speak.
it wasnt funny - it was bland and boring - the only part I liked was the very end across the balconies in the flats ! Whereas OFAH was purely brilliant !
Didn't find it funny, but still quite enjoyed it and liked the idea.
lofty...I agree.....however i feel that it was not meant to be "that funny" as it was just background to the OFH series.

I remember when OFH first started, I thought that is was not "that" funny, but it grew on me and finally I was a complete fan.

When he first met Raquel and took her to the Rib Room at the Carlton Towers and paid the Maitre D to say that his New York office was on the phone.
Fabulous....I would have loved to have done that.....LOL
It was listed as a 'comedy drama', not as a straight 'comedy', so in fact I agree it was not meant to be funny as such - just light hearted fun.

I really liked the links from the past, such as the aquisition of the Trotter flat. Thought it was quite clever. I'd certainly watch more.
I thought it was very good, especially the music.
It did what it set out to do and give viewers an insight as to what had gone on before.
The line by Slater about "walking the plank" was particularly good.
Overall a fine piece of comedy from the pen of John Sullivan.
Music was really good Daftgrandad, and the whole thing took me right back to that era (I am apparently only 2 years younger than DelBoy!! It very accurately portrayed that period, especially the bit where Del and Boycie were sitting in the front living room with the two girls - just so typical of the times.
We watched it & thought it was brilliant - thought the casting was good too.

I loved the closing scene & was hoping there might be a sequel, but Mr S read that it was a 'one off'. If it is/was successful, I hope they think about it......
You are so right in everything you say LoftyLottie!
I can remember being in that very same situation as Del Boy and Boycie many times and often with the same result,or an early arrival home by M&D.
Great how the music stirred memories as well.
Same here Lottie - those were the days!
I enjoyed it . I loved OFAH ..
There was some brilliant subtle humour there .The music was great and the bit where the wallpaper started to peel off reminded me of my dad and his wallpapering efforts ,when father painted the parlour sort of thing.
I have to admit I was welling up when she stood on the balcony with the baby and looked across at him .
The bouffant hair was wonderful as was the sparky carpet .
It would make a good series .Depends on the viewing figures I suppose .
Hi Shaney and Smudge,

Ah those memories, eh!!

Much gentler times in many respects.

When the living room scene was on with Delboy and Boycie were with the two girls, Mr LL looked over at me and grinned - I instantly understood what he was thinking. It was just so well portrayed. We young people had far less confidence in those days!
haha ..yes ..I can remember bringing boys home .And round about ten o'clock my Dad would give them a dirty look :) He used to call one particular chap .".Roger the Lodger ".
Those were the days .If you stayed in they had to be out by ten and if you went out you had to be in by ten....or else :)
Yes Shaney, I must admit to my eyes filing up at the closing scene too, that's why I'm hoping they'll make a sequel.....we loved OFAH, altho' there'll never be another Del Boy, bless him!

Funny you should say that Lottie, 'cos when the scene of the girls & lads in the 'parlour' came on, Mr S & me looked over at each other & smiled - we didn't need to say anything, the memories were ticking over!

What happy simpler days!
Ha, ha, you just reminded me Shaney - when I got home late one night, my Dad said I shouldn't be going out wth that 'Beatle Headed B.....!' He, He!
