Is it just me or does anyone else find this programme really moving? I know the cynical may say its self publicity and obviously a fraction of their wealth, but I think its a great learning curve for those who appear.
I totally agree, I get choked up most weeks when I watch it.
I am starting to wonder now after the programme has been running for a few years, how the various charity projects dont question the worker more. Also when I have enquired about charity work it is not quite so straightforward as you would think, in that there are various stages before you would get a chance to volunteer. I just wonder now how stage managed it is, but I do enjoy it.
I think there must be some stage management as you say but it may be done on the basis of a documentary, for as you know lots of charities need CRB checks etc so maybe those are forthcoming , but I love the concept and yes I do cry most weeks.
It really shows how many good people there are. People that work hard for next to nothing to help others.
Its also nice to see what the 'millionaire' is really like and how they get on in a very different world to their own.
I thought that too everhelpful, it's a bit like that Gok Wan show 'How to look good Naked' he always says they have no idea what he is going to ask them to do!!
