I enjoyed it, but it's a bit too early to tell.
There's a lot of change for this series, Stephen Moffat taking over from Russell T Davies, new writers, a new companion and the new Doctor. When the last change in Doctors happened, the writers and the companion stayed the same, which eased the change for the viewers
I get the impression that they seem to be appealing to a younger audience, but maybe they always were but David Tennant's appeal attracted a slightly older crowd ,especially the ladies ;o)
Matt Smith has a huge job to follow David Tennant, who did an amazing job and is so well loved, being voted the best doctor ever!!
I think he'll do fine, but it'll take a while for everyone to settle in, and for the viewers to get used to a new doctor, it's a bit soon to start writing him and the whole series off, after just one episode.

I was worried that the hype was going to spoil it and thought we'd seen the best of it in the trailers.... but I actually think it was very good!
It's a tough job taking over from David Tennant and I think they picked a pretty good follow up. It definatly has a different feel to it, but it's got to be a good thing! It had my 6 year olds seal of approval and he is a die hard fan.... so got to be good lol!

Speaking as a child of the 70's growing up with John Pertwee & Tom Baker as 'my' Doctors... loved it.
Mrs Blurry always accuses me of fearing change but this is one show where it has to be accepted and so far it's all to the good.
Hats off to Stephen Moffat, Matt Smith & the rest of the cast & crew.

No I didn't like it, though i may be being a bit unfair on the new doctor, I just can't like him. He's soo horrible to look at. Storyline was weak. Not sure if I'll carry on, maybe just for best 'baddies'.
bednobs - I was reminded of Peter Davison aswell, and i'm not sure why either!
Tom Baker was my era, I loved him.
