Does anyone remember the cartoon "Ovid"? Late 80's to early 90's kids TV show on BBC1 in the UK. It was a French cartoon (I think) about a group of colourful birds living on an island in the Pacific. The were called Ovid, Saffron, Polo, and Bobo. There was also a snake called Sy. I've tried Google - but its feeble attempt only brings up websites on the Greek poet Ovid.

The title was Ovide ( an anagram of video ) and was possibly from the Netherlands. Directed by Raymond Burlet.

Two video tapes were released, the first in 1993. Ovide and the Gang - Introducing Ovide and the Gang. This was re-released in 1999 from K-tel Entertainment Ltd along with More Ovide and the Gang

To see a copy of the video cover, search for Ovide in the video section of www.amazon.co.uk

And if you want to hear the theme tune, the annoying theme tune, click on http://www.tarantulasweb.com/derek/extra/theme.rm
