This is a long shot but there was an ad for How I met Your Mother that aired on E4 in early-mid March and the song they used has been bugging me ever since. It was like a brass song with people singing/humming in the background and it sounded like something maybe Beirut/The Rumble Strips/The Maccabees/an indie-ish band might make. It is NOT The Spell by Alphabeat.
