Bums - fell asleep during the second half. Last I saw, 'daddy' was giving his secretary one over the office desk. When I woke, darling daughter was looking very bashed around & Gavin was banging his head against the window. Did I miss much....?

Is the story pretty much identical? I know names seem to be the same . I can remember Cassie, Prue, Daddy and Gavin from the original but I can't remember the girl in the office (who looked like the original Prue to me)

No, I remember it, vaguely. It was just before I went away to school, I was 10 or 11. I remember it had naughty bits, and I wanted to watch without Daddy or Mums coming into the room. I think it was shown quite late.

Without googling it, I think it was an actress called Deborah Grant who played the original secretary. She was no bimbo - quite sophisticated as I remember.

I didn't watch it the first time round and looking at the constant ads for it I gave it a miss again. Too much shouting and screwed up faces.

Won't be watching I'm afraid. To be quite honest I didn't think much of it the first time round - seemed a very creepy storyline to me. James Aubrey was nice though.

This Gavin is creepy and manipulative. the original Gavin was a much more likeable chap.

I was 7 when the original was screened and I remember my mum and her friends discussing it and giggling like school girls. I started to watch last night out of curiosity and I am totally hooked! I would love to see the original repeated as I think that Frank Finlay was one hot daddy back in the day!!
