nice to see the old girl come for jack, it would be nice to think thats how we all go
but the story was nowhere near reality, a little more illness would have been believable,
my sister died from non Hodgkins lymphoma, she could'nt even lift the phone to speak into it week before she died never mind walk to the pub and back

maybe he went before the illness took hold. And I'm sure people dont want to see the really bad bits, and when has a soap ever been life like?

he did get worked up at Mollie and he has had a heart op (Jack not Bill) or maybe Bill did too

How did they do the bit with Vera? Surely she died in real life, did they use an old clip or superimpose her on to it, or was it a lookalike?

She's still alive lankeela, she was at the naming ceremony of the new QEII liner last week, according to wikipedia!

Vera (Liz Dawn) isn't dead, she just retired due to ill health.

Corrie was lovely, a fitting gentle departure for Jack.
I agree about the illness though deggers, nowhere near reality but if they showed it as it is (or could be) it would no doubt frighten those who've been newly diagnosed & their familes. I'm so sorry to read you lost your sister.

Durr! I googled Liz Dawn and it was talking about her death in 2008, but I now realise it was Vera they were referring to! Bill Tarmey wants to do something else, perhaps Last of the Summer Wine would suit him - bet he would fit right in (maybe as Norah Batty's new boyfriend?)
