We have a combi boiler with our CH system, and one of the radiators is completely stone cold, we tried to bleed it but the water came out straight away so presumed it didn't need bleeding. We are in a bungalow if that makes a difference, and all the other rads are hot. Any suggestions please? TIA rosy

keep running water from radiator with bleeding till it runs hot..could have an air lock somewhere that is blocking flow

Wow, thank you both for your speedy replies - my OH will check the valves and try to bleed it again. rosy
If you have a rad thermostat then the needle will probably be stuck, this happened to my radiator in the kitchen and it never worked for years until one day I was cleaning the thermostat, took off the plastic cover knocked the pin and the radiator came on, doubt it will be an airlock. Would bet money on it being the stat.

Sorry to be so long in replying eastern, but I just saw your reply. Good thing you didn't bet money anyway. It was in the bedroom and was never on until the day I tried to use it, so I put a heater in the room until we could sort it and it just came on by itself after a while, so we assume it was completey frozen up. Thank you for your suggestion tho'. rosy
Rosy, glad to hear you got it sorted but I very much doubt the rad was frozen, if it was it would have probably split when it thawed. Still bet it was the stat.
could be that the temperature change dislodged the jam in the stat, if the system is on I doubt any rad would actually get to freezing point,
