Girl spreads rumours/breaking up friendship
4 Answers
There is a girl, let's call her n, in my circle of friends who has recently 'joined' and in a way she brings us closer together, she is loud, sometimes quite funny, but sometimes she is tooo loud and thinks she knows everything and doesn't listen. I don't mind her that much i.e don't mind having her in our group BUT.... the thing is she spread a rumour about me saying that i said something bad about a different girl. I dind't say it and it was made up. N doesn't know that i know it was her who spread it and to be honest i'm really not that close with her so don't want to confront (by saying she's sometimes too loud, i mean you don't want to get on the bad side of her too!). In the circle of friends there is another girl called C who i am reaaally very close with and she is best friends i would say. now N has joined they have become quite good friends (i would say me and C are still as close as before but N is following behind me closely) and i never get a chance to talk to C because N buts in and wants to know everything so she can spread it. I feel like i really don't trust N at all now and have to watch everything i say around her so generally just keep my mouth shut around her. I feel like in a way she is breaking me and C up. C doesn't know that i don't particuarly connect with N that good friends would. What to do?

I think you need to stop worrying about N and concentrate on your friendship with C, you say you are very close well continue to be close even if N does try and butt in just be polite, there is always going to be someone in a circle of friends that you like the least or irritates you in certain ways but you have to get over that and enjoy your time spent together otherwise you will be shuffled from the group because the girls that like her won't see your point of view therefore you being ignored more! Girls are always going to be b!tchy together and you will all have your arguments or rumours but try to rise above them hopefully your friends will know you well enough by now to not believe everything she is telling them that you said!
Good luck! :)
