Their morals would certainly put many others to shame, and there does seem to be an admirable code of conduct concerning them and any young fellas trying to woo them.
Even though they're allowed to marry at 16, they don't all rush into it even if the whole point of the show is to highlight their wedding traditions. They really do push the boat out as well, and I really felt sorry for the young bride who had to cart around her wedding dress weighing some five and a half stones!
A promising start to a series which will give most of us an insight into the traditions of a much maligned section of the community.

Certainly a talking point. We have lots of travellers here in fact I know some settled ones and they still- when suits- adhere to their 'Code' as in when their man is bare knuckle fighting -shirts off -they stand back even if he is at deaths door.Ive witnessed it and its shocking -you'll see.I would be right in there helpng him and getting the police the lot but thats a no no with them -silence -always.
Even when they are brought up in court they say nothing.
I once witnessed an arranged fight at the bottom of my road when I was younger (not that much) -there must have been 300 people there (so word had got out -it was a father and son) -blocked all main roads and the Police and Ambulance personnel just stood with their arms folded until it was over and they then mopped up the debris. They are a law unto themselves and I wouldnt ever cross them -ever.
