If your little girl is typical she will be madly into princesses and fairytales and happy ever after. Every daughter goes through a stage of ‘pinkness’ which includes dressing up and acting out the stories of her favourite fairytales. So the type of heroine your girl likes is vitally important when picking a film for her.

If she is the starry-eyed heroine type she will love Disney classics Sleeping Beauty or Snow White. However, nowadays more and more films have heroines with substance in which case she will love The Princess and the Frog and Mulan. This is great for our little princesses as it gives them strong role models early on.

A new breed of princess who is much more able to take care of herself but still needs to find her true love. The frog still has to teach her something about herself but this time it is how to have fun.

Beauty and the Beast

This is a very romantic story; especially how Belle slowly falls in love with the Beast. The supporting cast of fixtures and furniture will make your children laugh and sing along.

Tinker Bell

Aladdin
