Jungle Book

 
Jungle Book is a children’s adventure film. Based on the stories by Rudyard Kipling in his book of the same name, the film was the last to be produced by Walt Disney himself as he died during production. The film is often most remembered for its classic songs which include "The Bare Necessities" and "I Wan'na Be Like You".

At the time of its release The Jungle Book was an overwhelming success for Disney and has since had two further releases and made as much again each time as the first. Although the film does stray from the Kipling stories audiences undoubtedly felt nostalgic about the film due to Walt Disney’s’ passing.

Much of the film’s appeal comes from the lively music and catchy tunes as well as the quality of the classic Disney animation. Some viewers found the story a little slow to develop but this is no way detracts from the overall good feeling from the film. It is ultimately a buddy, coming of age movie, where Mowgli learns about life and friendship, and will brighten anyone’s day.

A young baby is found in the Indian Jungle by a panther who takes him to be raised by wolves. Ten years later Mowgli’s safety is in jeopardy when it is discovered that a man eating tiger has returned to the jungle. The panther volunteers to take Mowgli back to the man village but the boy does not want to leave and escapes into the jungle where he meets a friendly bear and the king of the monkeys.
