Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is one of the most original action adventure films of all time. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and has a superb cast including Richard Attenborough, Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldbloom. The story is based on the book of the same name by Michael Crichton.

Jurassic Park is one of the best monster action films ever made. The visual effects are stunning even nearly twenty years on the dinosaurs are still so realistic it is almost scary. The film is regarded as a landmark in the use of computer-generated imagery. Although many viewers found the character development a bit thin and the plot predictable all agree the film is a great action movie, a classic of the genre.

The story is set slightly in the future and shows what could happen if man meddles too much in science and nature. A wealthy business man has created an unusual theme park where real dinosaurs roam. However, despite all their precautions the park security is compromised and a scientist (Sam Neill) and the two grandchildren of the businessman get lost in the park. Their adventures and the attempts to get the security system back on line while avoiding being eaten by dinosaurs form the rest of the film.
