Lost

Lost is one of the most popular TV series of recent years. The show was created by Damon Lindelof, J. J. Abrams and Jeffrey Lieber and has run for six seasons. With an excellent ensemble cast including Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, Evangeline Lilly, Dominic Monaghan and Naveen Andrews the show gripped the world until the final episode in 2010.

The show has been received by audiences with great enthusiasm. The first series with its character build up and intriguing plot drew viewers in. Subsequent series have kept interest high.

The first season begins with a plane crash which strands the surviving passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 on what seems to be a deserted tropical island, forcing the group of strangers to work together to stay alive.

Over the course of the following series the show sees many plot twists and turns and various characters coming and going, however, a central theme relates to the flashbacks that each character experiences throughout. Most of these are to do with critical events in the characters’ lives and how they dealt with them. There is also an underlying supernatural/paranormal thread which plays out towards the end of the final series.
