Spider-Man 3

08:25 Fri 09th Jul 2010 |

Spider-Man 3 is a superhero adventure film. Written and directed by Sam Raimi this is the third and the darkest Spider-man so far. The lead character is based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and is reprised by Toby Maguire. The film also sees the welcome return of Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane and James Franco as Harry Osborn.

This third outing for Spider-Man had a luke warm reception. Some viewers thought it was a fitting finale to the trilogy but many other disagreed. The main problems, audiences reported, was the overly complicated plot and too many bad guys. However, most found the actors carried on the roles believably and the special effects to be stunning.

Peter Parker and Mary Jane are trying to settle into a somewhat normal life when Peter is infected with an alien symbiote which gradually makes him turn bad. After getting into a fight at Mary Jane’s club he decides to get rid of the symbiote. Unfortunately it then gets attached to Peter’s rival at the Bugle, Eddie Brock (Topher Grace). Harry Osborn, Peter's best friend, learns the truth of his father’s death and forgives Spider-Man, they then team up at the end of the film to get rid of Brock and Flint Marko (the thief who killed Ben Parker).
