The Inbetweeners
The Inbetweeners is undoubtedly one of the best comedy's out there. Written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris the show is the story about a group of teenage friends struggling through sixth form at school. Relive all the worst moments from childhood including school disco, dinners, uniforms and so much more...
Many viewers comment that although they may find the language and behaviour of the main characters sometimes rude and unruly it often reminds them of their own formative and school years. This could be why the series has been so popular; programmes that ‘ring true’ are very often taken to the hearts of the audience.
The show follows the antics of four rather odd and slightly mismatched teenagers. The central character, Will (Simon Bird), has had to leave his cosy Private school and enter Comprehensive School Sixth Form. Eventually he finds a group where he can, if not fit in, at least not stand out consisting of a hopeless romantic called Simon (Joe Thomas), a borderline sex pest called Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison)whom sometimes is so dumb it's more like having a pet than a friend.
The term 'Inbetweeners' refers to Will and his three classmates being neither part of the school's trendy 'in-crowd' nor school 'nerds', but somewhere inconsequentially 'inbetween'.
