I find that my foot is at a rather sharp angle on the accelerator pedal. This is ok on short trips but can become quite uncomfortable on longer journeys. Can the pedal be adjusted or is there any other solution? Have tried seat further back but no good for putting clutch right in. Many thanks.

There will be a cable adjuster under the bonnet .. unless it is an electronic pedal .. Car & model?
All you need is to ensure it is adjusted back so you can achieve full throttle.
Easily fixed on my wifes car, I just used a half inch thick peice of wood under the car mat held in place with 2 screws and washers to reduce the sharp angle, this has been safe for about 2 years.
