citroen semi auto gear box fault

Hi there all yesterday i was driving my 06 citroen c3 sensodrive after sitting in heavy traffic i depressed the accelerator nothing the car beeped and the display read gearbox fault. i turned the car off waited about 5-10 seconds and drove on. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced/heard of similar. i was wondering if maybe the battery was possibly to blame as ive heard they can cause problems on these cars when theyre running down. anyone who maybe ble to shed some light would be much appreciated.

Having previously owned a C5 v6 auto with every imaginable electric sensor and gadget would seriously recommend you take it to a Citroen garage for a full diagnostic check.

I ignored an engine management fault for a week as it didn't appear to make a difference. It turned out that the catalytic converter was damaged and the continued driving caused damage to other components costing us £6000. It was only worth £3k and the garage offered us a £2k trade in so it went, which was a shame cos it was a loverly car.
