what oil do i need to put in a vauxhall astra gls 16v,1997,

enter your car reg, and it will tell you which oil you need.

15W/40 - stay clear of synthetics - I would go for a standard Shell Helix, one of the best on the market. I presume it is a petrol car, if not pick up some of their Rotella.

Choice 2 would be a Chevron, Choice 3, Castrol.
