I'm on my 3rd Toyota Celica but thinking of changing and don't like the last shape. Anyone know from experience if I would like the Hyundai coupe from a driving viewpoint in comparison with the Celica?
I don't know about the Celica, but the coupe is simply lovely to drive! The view is ok, although the rear view is a bit restricted. Not as bad as the new Astra - you can't seen anything out the back of that!
Thanks. I'm no boy racer (obviously) but I do like the acceleration and performance of the celica - is the coupe as 'spirited' - on paper the spec looks like it's even better?
Prudie ... Please I wouldn't buy one of those. Not that they are bad ... however ..
Electronic faults and expensive parts.
Transmission faults.
Quality issues.
My mate broke (scrapped in parts) a green Coupe.
I sold some of the bits for him .. without any trouble at all. People were driving miles to collect them. Tell you anything?
Also I sent a complete electrical sunroof assy down south .. that had failed open. That consisted of about 20-30 gears, clips and plastic : (
Avoid them Prudie : )
How about a Golf Gti or Td Sport? Much better bet.
I have a Hyundai Coupe V6 and strangely was thinking of changing it for a Celica. Nothing wrong with the Coupe but it is a bit 'un-necessary' as I only go to work in it and home again - round trip of less than 20 miles. Thought the Celica would be less 'pokey' and more suitable for my age!
