Sony Car Stereo Xr-C5120R Reset Problem

Hi

I have a mutichanger sony car stereo that has started saying reset when i try to switch from radio to cd. I have tryed the little black reset button behind the faceplate and it still says reset. I have tried pulling our all the plugs and pluging them in again to no avail. Any other ideas i could try? I have attached a link to the manual but under troubleshooting it says "cannot operate cd player because of some problem press reset" but that doesn't work!!!
