i bought a new clutch that cost me nearly 600 excluding labour (i should have done myself) from the start it was sort of noisy i did the run in period, 500 miles. and more so not hard driving. but what i find quit puzzling is that if any power is put into it, it slips like a clutch that is old an worn (replace kind of worn), this is a stage three clutch. is there an easy solution, was the clutch put in wrong, any ideas?
hahaha, could try that, lol. thats the thing, it is the correct clutch so i would have to assume it was installed badly, i was hoping something bit easier, how can a clutch be installed badly, like in what way
ok, i msorry if the information isn't as good as desired, taking off there is a heavy rumble unless gas ped firmly pressed, a rough noise at idle from clutch housing, a loose spinning noise disengaging and noise rumble when engaging next gear.slipping when any power put through bmw e46 2.5 litre
I would have thought by changing the Clutch Top, that whoever done the job should have replaced the Clutch / Thrust Bearing / Pressure Plate! ( was the fork checked? thee may be a chance that there is oil / grease on the clutch plate. You still have the E46 I take it?
