Hi guys, my elderly neighbour has a rover 25 2006 plate,it as only 5325 miles on the clock and the battery keeps running flat.so she is forever asking me to charge it up.obviously she does not run it enough to charge it and I think the alarm is running it flat so is it possible to disconnect it, and how?

Hi, it's been a while but I seem to remember that Rovers were difficult to fit aftermarket security kit to because the factory fit stuff was so much part of the car. The same applied to getting new central locking key fobs anywhere after the company went mammarys up.
Maybe the best place for expert info would be a Rover owner online forum.

Thanks Douglas for your help I will see if anyone comes up with more info.
If possible i.e. car situe Why not get her to buy one of those trickle chargers that you can leave on 24/7 for long periods, would be easier .not too hard to use either.
Is it parked outside? If so, a solar trickle charger could do the job:

Why not simply disconnect the battery and then refit the connections when she needs it?
