Bad Credit Against The House

I have just got a credit card (for my personal use) not our joint house use. Its to pay off a camera I bought and a lads weekend away.

We only have one other credit card under our address but about 5 or 6 deals on finance where direct debits go out.

She's annoyed that I've gone and got this credit card as she says it will go against our house rather than just my name?

Surely it won't make any difference if its paid off every month (minimum)

Does the address get black listed if you have credit cards and finance deals? We're paying them all off on time and I intend to pay this off too.

As a matter of interest also, can an address get black listed if you are using your arranged overdraft in a bank?

An address does not get blacklisted.

Even if you got a credit card, ran up a £10K debt and never paid a penny of it off, the address would not be blacklisted, you would.

Have you ever got your credit report from Experian (or the other one, can`t remember the name)? It`s the address that is searched via their database so there is some truth in that.

I sure I read somewhere that if you are financially connected to someone then they could also appear to have bad credit.

If you don't repay the CC debt they can put a charge on your house.

The address is searched, but only for the person applying for the credit.

If Joe Bloggs and Fred Smith lived together at 123 Anywhere Road, and Joe Bloggs applied for a credit card, they would search Joe Bloggs at 123 Anywhere Road. Anything Fred Smith had got listed at this address would not be shown.

However if Joe Bloggs and Fred Smith had a joint account or mortgage or similar, then they have a financial association and what one person does will affect the other.
