when i open door my dashboard lights go out and so do the back lights but head lights stay on if i switch lights off and back on then they come back on any ideas please

Time to take it back to Kia and get it checked out. They will hook it up to a computer and find the problem in no time.

It's not uncommon for some cars to light the path to your front door, then switch themselves off after a few seconds.

It's maybe meant to do that...as Eccles says...different makes have different light functions. If all else fails...read the manual!
