Start it and leave running for 15 mins before you leave (as long as you don't live in an area where it wold get pinched!)

I usually do that with the heaters on!! But because there will be no heaters i dont think it will de-ice xx
Run a lead and use a hairdryer?
Can you cover it up with an old blanket?
I know someone who leaves a nightlight burning on the dashboard - apparently its enough to stop the inside windscreen freezing but I don't know how safe it is!
Get one of these

I had one in an old car when the heater had packed up. Make sure the car is running first though or it will quickly drain the battery!

Thank you! I did think hairdryer but i dont have a lead long enough!!!

Thanks for the tips xx
It's not only old cars that do this....there is discussion on the VW owners' site about brand-new cars doing the same. It's simply moist air (breathing, water leak, rainy weather etc) condensing on the cold glass and freezing if the temperature is particularly low. It doesn't happen to garaged cars....so build a garage?
Seriously though...without a close electricity supply or car heater that works, there's not much you can do....perhaps, de-icer on a cloth?
EDDIE51's suggestion looks a good idea.
...if it's only for another day - could you park it where the early morning sun falls on the windscreen?
In the days when I left my car outside I used to leave a watering can full of water by the front door. Pour it ALL on the windscreen, which will warm it up to room temperature, so it should not freeze up again. It certainly stopped my breath freezing on the inside of the windscreen and was much cheaper than de-icer. Just be careful walking about where the car was if the frost persists all day.
When you return home open the window wide about half a mile from home and blast out all the moist air, it won't be so bad the next day
